The Golden Globes moments started with the host Ricky Gervais announcing this would be the last time he hosted. I recall his commentary that left me with an "oh wow" response. "If you do win an award tonight, don’t use it as a platform to make a political speech," he said. "You’re in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world."
Well, that didn't work. There were still some strong statements and political views expressed by the some of the winners. As far as the awards themselves, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood had the most successful night; winning three of the five awards for which it was nominated: Best Screenplay for Quenton Tarantino, best supporting comedic actor for Brad Pitt, and best comedic film. But, by FAR, these video moments below were two of my favorites, with Tom Hanks picking up the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and Ellen DeGeneres with the Carol Burnett Award.
