On the third day, he was looking for one of the kids' shoes, and checked under the bed and found a used condom. He immediately started freaking out and his kids wanted to see it, but he told them to go away. He went to the front desk and explained what happened and was expecting them to move them to a new room and comp their stay. They apologized but only offered to have someone clean the room and $50 to their restaurant. Since he was with his family, he settled for that choice but if he wasn’t with them, he would’ve made it a bigger deal and expected more. He learned from this that when you go into a hotel room the first thing you should do is check under the bed.
