Jelly Roll is currently on tour in Australia and had the "greatest day of his whole life" when he got to name an adorable baby quokka.

In case you're unfamiliar, a quokka is a small furry marsupial native to Australia, and now Jelly Roll's newest obsession. In a video shared to his social media, the country star is holding the baby quokka, who he has been tasked with naming. He held the cute little animal as it ate a grape and some leaves, and even fed it some milk from a bottle.

"I am fixing to faint, this might be the greatest day of my whole life," Jelly Roll shared before he called his wife, Bunnie Xo, to show her and get her help in naming the quokka. She suggested naming the quokka "something country," and finally came up with Loretta, after Loretta Lynn of course. Then, Jelly Roll played Lynn's iconic "Coal Miner's Daughter" for the newest Loretta.

Inspired by Loretta the quokka, Jelly Roll was convinced that rescuing quokkas could be a "whole new thing." He shared, "We'll start sponsoring them, what do they cost? I'll be buy Loretta right now, she's like a little mouse."

Jelly Roll's "Down Under Tour" continues in Australia, which takes him to cities including Melbourne, Newcastle, Perth, Sydney, Townsville, and Auckland New Zealand, and will wrap up on November 8th. And along for the trek are Shaboozey and Drew Baldridge.
