No damage or impacts are reported after a fireball meteor lit up the southeast Louisiana sky early Sunday morning.
Residents reported a bright streak and a flash around 5 a.m. as the meteor broke apart in the upper atmosphere.
Fireballs can happen at any time of year, but NASA says "fireball season" is from February through April.
That's possibly because Earth may be moving through area with more space debris during that time in its orbit.
