A&E network’s Garth Brooks biography “Garth Brooks: The Road I’m On,” will premiere over two consecutive nights — 8 p.m. CT on Nov. 24 and Nov. 25.
The country legend announced the bio Monday evening during his weekly Facebook Live event called “Inside Studio G.”
Garth said A&E spent about a year-and-a-half making the documentary and that they traveled to his hometown in Oklahoma and spoke with his wife Trisha Yearwood and others in the country music community, as well as his three adult daughters and their mother.
He said, “You’re going to love Trisha. The girls are going to blow you away. As a dad, I’m so proud. This is the first time they’ve sat in front of a camera. And my love and thanks to Sandy, the girls’ mom. She was brilliant.”
Brooks debuted the trailer for the documentary at the beginning of “Inside Studio G.” The two-minute clip follows Brooks on the road, as well as taking viewers back in time to when he was trying to break into country music — and later when he had to walk away from his career.
In addition to the documentary, A&E’s Garth Week will also include extensive on-air and digital content with Brooks, a special airing of Brooks’ Yankee Stadium concert to premiere 8 p.m. CT Nov. 26 at and more.
