TMSG: Young Girl Helps 6-Year-Old So She Doesn't Walk Home Alone

Skyler Smith was riding home with her mother after the first day of school when they saw a little girl walking home alone on the side of the highway.

Skyler felt like something was off and noticed that the little girl looked scared. Knowing that it was not safe to have her get in the car with her and her mother, Skyler told her mother she wanted to get out. So Skyler got out of the car and walked the young girl home as her mother drove nearby.

Turns out the young girl is 6-years-old, a first-grader a local elementary school. Her parents say she was supposed to be put on a bust to get home, and shouldn't have had to walk the 25-minute, 1 mile trek alone. They were very grateful that Skyler stepped in to help their daughter make it home safely.
