Caroline Jones unveiled a glimpse into her “real-life romance” with her husband in the newest anthem to debut from her upcoming album.
Jones — a solo singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, and a member of Zac Brown Band — released “You’re It For Me, Honey” on Friday (January 16). She teamed up with Rob Grimaldi, Lauren McLamb and Brandon Ratcliff to write the “90’s country-pop inspired anthem,” described in a press release as a song that “celebrates love, confidence, and commitment. …The tongue-in-cheek lyrics revel in the certainty of choosing your person and owning that choice with confidence, humor, and heart.” It’s the latest track to release from Jones’ upcoming 12-track project, Good Omen, along with the title track, “All The Things,” “Divorce In A Small Town” and “No Tellin’.”

“I wrote this song when I was home on my maternity leave and I just knew it could be a very Shania-esque song,” Jones shared in a statement of “You’re It For Me, Honey.” “It was a lot of fun writing it because it’s so empowering and very tongue-in-cheek. I’ve always written flirty lyrics, so it was good to have that represented on this album along with the heavier topics.”
Jones married husband Nick Dana in December 2021. She shared snowy wedding day photos at the time, and wrote: “I said I would never get married and I don’t like skiing (I did both for this picture). Which tells you everything you need to know about what a genuine inspiration Nick Dana is. God gathered every attribute I could ever want and need in a partner and alchemized them perfectly into this man who deserves everything good in this world. And I get to be the steward of his soul. What an honor.” The couple welcomed Baby No. 1 in November 2023.
Jones will release Good Omen on February 13, days before kicking off her headlining tour. See the dates below. Good Omen will “explore the different shades and colors of life, from the darker, messier storylines to the lighter messages and themes traditionally seen in Caroline’s music. The project also showcases the singer-songwriter’s most raw and lyrically honest songwriting to-date, reflecting her growth and new life perspectives as both an artist and a new mom,” per the release issued Friday.
