Shania Twain Approves Of This Brad Pitt 'That Don't Impress Me Much' Joke

Shania Twain might actually be impressed with this one! On Monday (January 13) the country singer took to social media to show her approval for a joke about how Brad Pitt's career roles seem to perfectly fit her hit song, "That Don't Impress Me Much."

Recorded in 1997 and released in 1998, Shania's hit described three self-absorbed suitors who she was no impressed with. "Okay, so you're a rocket scientist," Shania sings in the song. "That don't impress me much." She later declares that she's also not impressed if you're Brad Pitt or if you have a car.

Well, now it appears that Brad has "spent his entire career trying to impress Shania," according to fans. The actor starred in the film, Ad Astra, where he plays an astronaut leading a team into space to find his lost father. The film poster also featured Brad driving a car while in space.

"Did no one realize that BRAD PITT just played a ROCKET SCIENTIST, who had a CAR?! THOSE ARE THE THREE THINGS THAT DON'T IMPRESS SHANIA TWAIN MUCH!!!" one fan tweeted. The clever observation eventually made its way to Shania who retweeted it adding several laughing emojis.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Shania revealed how the actor ended up being a lyric in her song. She explained that it came about after a scandal involving Brad and his ex, Gwyneth Paltrow's, nude photos being published in Playgirl.

"I thought it was a horrible invasion on them and I sort of took the other angel of it," she said. "He's so gorgeous, clothed or naked, so I just did that as an exaggeration...being playful."

She adds, "It doesn't impress me much that I still have not met Brad Pitt, come on!"
