The Philadelphia Eagles DE Chris Long is doing things in a big way to help the community he grew up in, Charlottesville, Virginia.
After his community was disrupted with a huge protest and violence, Long and his wife are trying to do their part to help. Long pledged his first six 2017 game checks to provide two students with a seven-year paid education program. The scholarships will be at his alma mater, St. Anne's Belfield School.
He noted the reason why he's doing this and how it's part of a larger plan:
